DuskBin is a new organisation to the world of E-sports, founded only the coming end of the year. Its Starcraft teams however are not as green. Rich with years of experience, these players are among the best of the foreigner Starcraft world. We’ll now take a look back to see how this team came to be what it is today. The team was founded from players all over Asia. F91 and Sen were former Starcraft players for MYM (Meet Your Makers). Phoenix66, LBH, Jaystar were all brought together through influence of F91 since they are all very good friends having compete together in many tournaments over the years. These players were among the best of China’s and the world’s Starcraft players. The team was brought together a year ago in late November 2008 under the hands of Ash, who became the founders of this Chinese Starcraft team. They sought sponsorship from the European based E-sports organization, Fnatic which is very successful with its Counter Strike and Call of Duty 4 teams. With quick approval, they were then known as the FnaticMSI.SC team. Soon thereafter, Rushgoon joined the rosters and had taken on a new name, ‘Never’ for a brand new beginning. ![]() The Fnatic that became their home Each of the players before being under the Fnatic banner had been successful on the own rights with multiple achievements throughout the years. Examples such as Jaystar with first place in the IEF 2006, F91 in pole position for China IEST 2006 with excellent records for multitude number of tournaments. Even so, their skill has changed dramatically for the better. The new FnaticMSI.SC team was a powerful tide of power, being almost unstoppable in the Clan Wars against other prestigious Starcraft teams. Even the top foreigner teams such as Templars of Twilight (ToT), ESC had lost to them at least once. The multiple all kills or overwhelming wins came as an utter shock for many people in the active Starcraft community. Their performance was also brought into various events such as the E-sports International (ESI), the BWCL (Brood War Clan League), International Cyber Cup Clan League (ICCUP CL). In spite of such success, they became too busy to participate for too many competitions, forcing withdrawal for the BWCL and WGTCL. The new team took down the best teams of Starcraft and won events such as the E-sports International and Liquibition (Where F91 had a 4 kill streak against excellent players such as Idra, Nony, IefNaij, Strelok and is the current Liquibition champion). They’ve also partook in a special Chinese Invitational courtesy of Steel Series sponsorship where the best China players duke it out. Sen has also played spectacularly and won the WCG Taiwan of 2009. However, things are not as easy as thought to be. The team, having been under the Fnatic flag for only 11 months now had several issues to deal with management. After long negotiations, both sides reached a mutual compromise and went separate ways without any grudges whatsoever. Now having withdrawn from Fnatic, the Starcraft team has found a new sponsor which gives the former FnaticMSI.SC team its new wings, DuskBin. Now under Duskbin management, the team has received minor changes in line-ups particularly with the new arrival of DB.Marine. Another member; Never has also returned to his previous name of Rushgoon. With the upcoming World Cyber Games 2009 (WCG), the team will be having two from their rosters, DB.Sen and DB.Marine who both will represent their own nations (Taiwan and Malaysia) and the DuskBin team. It would not be easy but they are excellent players. Overall, the team is a band of extremely strong players and are not to be contended with. We’ll definitely be seeing more success with the team in foreigner scene of Starcraft. We just have to wait and see. |
