The prize pot for Counter-Strike at the ESWC 2010 finals has been increased following the cancellation of the Virtua Tennis tournament. The Counter-Strike tournament at the ESWC 2010 finals was originally allocated a huge $63,000, the largest portion of the events $213,500 prize fund. The money was initially spread over the top three finishers but the ESWC committee have decided to expand cash prizes to the top eight, bringing the total up to $73,500.
The extra $10,500 comes in light of the cancellation of the Virtua Tennis tournament. No changes have been made to the top three prizes.
