2009 is known as the worst year of E-Sports ever since it was established in year 2000.  AMD dropping their sponsorship for SK-Gaming and mTw, nVidia pulling out from ESWC and many more unpleasant news announced due to the financial crisis, it was obvious that E-Sports would not have an easy year ahead. Numbers of tournaments and sponsors have decreased dramatically throughout the whole year for all the fans and players.

However, what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. The situation is taking a slow change and it's definitely heading towards the right direction.  With the epic WCG 2009 which was held in November at Chengdu, China breaking the record of the number of audience for an e-sports event , we can all have a strong belief that the industry will continue to grow and hope that one day it will be on TV for every single e-sports fan out there .

While it seemed that the industry was taking a step backward during the financial crisis, there were two young men in Malaysia who both had a dream of bringing this particular industry to another level.  Doing what many would refer as a dream, the idea of starting a professional organization to draw a clear line of definition between professional and amateur came into their minds. As much as it sounds like an impossible thing to achieve, both knew that the path to bring dreams into reality would not be easy. Both had their hopes high, they went and seek for potential sponsors but were rejected by numerous companies due to the fact that that they were too young for that, too young for people to trust that they were capable of doing something "impossible".

Giving up was never an option but once in a while it certainly would visit their minds when they were having a tough time. After few months of ups and downs, it was finally a pleasant day for them to announce this great project. Something which was far from being done many months before, something impossible, something unrealistic. DuskBin.com was finally fit enough to be presented to the whole world and has gained reasonable recognition in the scene ever since. We have also achieved our first ever trophy in the SAGC Grand Final Asia.

Good things don't come easy. I believe that it wasn't an easy year for most of us but let's all have faith, have faith in the new decade which will bring more challenges and joy ahead that will be memorable for us. Let's welcome the year of 2010.
