The Starcraft TSL is an online Brood War tournament organized by the Starcraft community with many great prizes in store. It’s simply one of the largest, most rewarding online tournaments with great support from the Starcraft community of Teamliquid. The Prizes for this TSL is very generous courtesy of PokerStrategy.com sponsorship. Total prizes amount up to 23,500 USD! 1st place 10,000 2nd place 5000 3rd place 2500 4th place 1000 5th – 8th place 500 9th -16th place 250 TSL Format Currently, the TSL format will be conducted in three different stages. It starts off with an open ladder system where players work up the rankings to qualify for the qualifier rounds. From there on, the qualifiers will then narrow it down to the top 16 players. The TSL will then officially begin and conduct an eliminations bracket. The top 3 Players from the previous TSL will be automatically seeded which are Iefnaij Draco Brat_ok The fourth slot will be determined by a match between Nony and the top (1st) player of the Ladder rankings. Loser of the match goes to Round 3. The remaining 12 slots will be determined by the qualifier rounds. Qualifier Round Format The 25th – 48th in the ladder rankings will start first in Round one. It will be a best of 3. The winners of Round 1 will move on to fight Round 2 with batch players ranked 13th – 24. The match is again set to another best of 3. Winners of the 2nd qualifier round will enter the third qualifier round the 2nd – 12th ranked batch. Winners of Round 3 will be qualified for the remaining 12 slots. The TSL Map pool is currently set with Tornado Outsider Fighting spirit Destination Andromeda TSL Coverage The TSL will be casted by the excellent and popular commentators such as Day[9], Artosis, Tasteless and Chill. The TSL will also be provided with several live streams from several participating players. Schedule Currently, the schedule for the TSL goes as follows November 21st, 2009: Start of Ladder qualifications December 13th, 2009: End of Ladder qualifications January 9th 2010: Qualifier rounds 1 and 2 January 16th 2010: Qualifiers round 3 January 30th 2010: Top 16 TSL DuskBin.Sen and DuskBin.Marine will be participating in the TSL. Their chance of getting into the Top16 is very promising and we will be providing coverage on the TSL. For Starcraft players who are interested, feel free to join the TSL as well. It’s allowed for all and its free entry.
