The ZOWIE Hammer came in a package that tells the user everything they need to know. It quoted a popular player, Abdisamad “SpawN” Mohamed who had joined ZOWIE GEAR in its quest to make the perfect gaming accessories. After unpacking it, the full contents came to be the Headset itself, a ZOWIE USB 7.1 soundcard, a cable extenders and a pair of ear cups. The ear cups and cable extensions were quite generous from ZOWIE GEAR, making its product lifespan much longer. Moreover, the ear cups are very easy to replace, requiring no instructions whatsoever.
The Package Words from the Pros Words from the Pros '2' Everything unveiled The Soundcard has a few nifty functions, allowing volume control and mute functions. The microphone and speaker symbol on the soundcard was somewhat difficult to see without direct light applied at the spot. Another useful thing is that the Soundcard does not require downloaded drivers. The soundcard will install the drivers automatically once you plug it in unless you already have Soundcard software from other gaming products such as Razer or SteelSeries. If so, it will automatically assume control of your sound card because most of them are using the C-Media chipset for their soundcards.
The Headset looks special. It felt something you could cobble up from stuff you can find in a storeroom. The Hammer actually has taken the design to similar levels of military headsets. ZOWIE GEAR is aiming for a gung ho military style that’s distinct from other headset products. This is a good thing for military or gamer enthusiasts. The microphone is big and ready to kick people’s butt. The ear cups and the structure itself are flexible, easily adaptable for anyone’s head to greatest comfort and it won’t break for any accidents.
